What I Did - Spending Easter in Vienna 2

Updated: Apr 28, 2019

Hi everyone!

Here is my second post on the weekend I spend in beautiful Vienna. We started off with a visit to the national library which is adjacent to Hofburg palace another palace that is famous as its residents included kaiserin Elisabeth (Sissi).

The Austrian National Library is the largest library in Austria with over 7.4 million items in its various collections. The library was founded by the Habsburgs, and was originally called the 'Hof-Bibliothek' (the court library) the change to its current name occured in the 1920's. The library is really impressive and so incredibly beautiful, it is hard not to be amazed by it when you visit (especially if you are a proud bookworm!).

The National Library was so incredibly beautiful. I still remain amazed by the things people could create in a time were they could not rely on the techniques and the same comforts as we enjoy now a days.

Oh how I wish I could ask the masters of the day for the secrets and techniques they used in creating these masterpieces.

A medieval book completely crafted by hand, how beautiful is that?

I wore my 'Rosie' top by Hobbs with Zara skinny jeans for the day. A fabulous choice for the spring even when it is still a bit chilly out.

How gorgoeus is this beautiful city. I think city trips remain my favorite types of hollidays. So much culture and history to learn and beautiful places to explore. I hope you enjoyed this posts. Last one will go up somewhere next week.
